A country church on Dess Road, gathering for worship, Bible study, and fellowship under Pastor Wayne Chance.
“Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”
PSALM 100:2Come as you are — every week, the doors are open.
Antioch Baptist Church sits about five miles west of Florien in Sabine Parish, not far from Toledo Bend. We're a close-knit congregation, and there's always a seat for one more — whether you've been coming for years or you're just passing through. There's a place here for every season of life, from our youngest kids to our longest-serving members.
Antioch has been part of this community for generations, gathering on Dess Road between Highway 474 and Funderburk Road. The names and faces have changed over the years, but the reason we gather hasn't.
Antioch is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, and we hold to the Bible as God's word and to the beliefs laid out in the Baptist Faith and Message. That shapes our worship, our teaching, and our life together — in Sunday School, morning and evening worship, and Wednesday Bible study.
Singing, preaching, and prayer, Sunday morning and evening.
Sunday School each week and Wednesday evening Bible study.
Church Training and time together, before and after service.
Bro. Wayne has pastored Antioch for the past seven years, with Kathy serving right alongside him. Together, they've spent more than 25 years in ministry, and even longer than that in the classroom as career educators. They love this church family and this community, and they'd love to meet you too.
Not sure what to expect on a first visit? Wondering about something bigger, like who God is or what we believe? Whatever it is, you don't have to have it figured out before you reach out.
